Editorial Team

Verdecto is produced by a small editorial team covering gambling regulation in the United Kingdom, betting guides and interactive calculators. This page explains who stands behind the content, how it is researched and what to do if you think we got something wrong.

How we work

Our research and drafting process is technology-assisted and supervised by the publisher, who is accountable for everything published on this site. We are explicit about this because readers of regulatory content deserve to know how it is made. What matters more than the tooling is the standard applied to the output, which is set out below.

Primary sources first

Regulatory coverage is written from the original documents — Gambling Commission consultations, licence conditions, statutory instruments and official announcements — not from secondary reporting. Where we cite a rule, we link the document that contains it.

Every calculation is verified

The worked examples in our calculators and guides are computed independently before publication. If a figure appears in a Verdecto page, it has been checked against the formula, not copied from another site.

Dated and maintained

Regulatory pages carry a publication date and, where applicable, a last-updated date. When a rule changes or a deadline moves, we update the page and the date rather than leaving stale guidance online.

Independence from operators

We accept commercial partnerships, and they are disclosed. No commercial arrangement determines what our regulatory coverage says, and no operator reviews our editorial content before publication.

Corrections in the open

If we publish something inaccurate, we correct it and note the correction on the page. Write to editorial@verdecto.com with anything you believe is wrong — corrections are welcome and acted on.
